CERAMIC COATINGS
Automotive ceramic coatings are a revolutionary advancement in paint protection for your car. It provides a permanent ceramic coating which imparts a color enhancing gloss while still protecting your exterior surfaces up to a lifetime of your car. We use System X ® products which create a brilliant new clear coat over your paintwork. This coating appears like your car was dipped in glass. PAINT CORRECTION
Only the finest products from Rupes are utilized on all vehicles. Many vehicles will benefit from this service which will bring the clear coat back to showroom new before the coating is applied.
TOUCH UP & SCRATCH REMOVAL
Minor scratches are wet sanded to remove a minimum amount of clear coat. We polish to remove any scratches. We can utilize Dr. ColorChip for larger areas of chips.
OUR PROCESS
Thorough Wash
We start our multiple step wash process using deionized water and ph neutral cleaners to eliminate all road and air contaminants.
Paint Decontamination
Your paint will have all bonded contaminants such as iron, rail and brake dust, tree sap, road tar, paint transfer among many others removed. This is one of the most important steps before applying a ceramic coating!
Paint Polishing
Based upon our inspection, your goals, the amount of clear coat left, and setting the proper expectations, we polish your paint to eliminate swirls and scratches, while refining the paint to bring out the maximum amount of gloss and shine.
Alcohol Prep Cleaner
Prior to ceramic coating, each panel or surface to be coated is carefully wiped down with isopropyl alcohol to ensure proper bonding of the ceramic coating!
Ceramic Coat and Protect
Every surface of your vehicle has the opportunity to be coated after the proper preparation. This protection from bird droppings, chemicals, and other hazards last in years, not in months or days. Increased gloss, clarity, and easy maintenance is another great benefit of a ceramic coating.
A new System X® coating will take about 2-3 days to cure to its full strength. During that time, some precautions should be taken.
Curing time is 2-3 days depending on environmental conditions such as humidity and temperature. Take special care during this time period. The coating will help prevent your clear coat from getting water spots as it is hydrophobic, however, it can still get hard water spots. Be especially diligent during the curing process to prevent water spots, which may be costly to remove.
During the Curing Process
Avoid

Parking under trees especially if there is shedding. You don’t want tree sap on a fresh coating. Allowing bird droppings, sap or pollen to sit on the car and bake in the sun. Washing or abrading the paint.

If you notice that your car gets water spots, bird droppings, bugs, tree sap, or other contaminants during the first few days, immediately remove it following our care instructions. Keep in mind the coating is still curing. Be gentle when working on the paint.
